Mad Men

Did you watch the season premiere of Mad Men last night? It was just over two hours of our favorite characters in their chic outfits and crisp mid-century modern decor. I only watched about half of it, but will definitely be watching the second half tonight.

I found these adorable paper dolls of Joan and Megan from Mad Men Illustrated via How about Orange. If you’re a Mad Man fan, take a look at the Illustrated site – there are tons of fun illustrated scenes.

What did you think of last night’s episode? Any new modern decor worth watching for?

Sequins for NYE

In lieu of the holiday season, there won’t be a Weekly Six this week, but rather a round-up of sequins. Being that New Year’s Eve is on Monday, I’m in the mood for sequins. How about you?

Last night at the mall, I snagged up an adorable sequin dress and the gold sequin clutch above. So now I’m in the sequin mood more than ever! Wouldn’t it be fun to host a party with those sequin chairs or that sequin table cloth?

Or that sequin graffiti on the side of your house? Yes, please!

Will you be wearing or decorating with sequins this New Year’s Eve?

Recipe Radar: Cookies!

Are you doing any baking this holiday season? I’m dying to get in my kitchen and bake a million cookies and truffles and maybe even some peppermint bark, too!

The cookie recipes I’ve included in today’s Recipe Radar are all cookies that I plan to bake this weekend. I made all of my cookie decisions based on cookies that my mom made every year. How do you choose what cookies to make? Do you like to try new recipes or do you stick to your traditional faves?

Recipes:
Sugar Cookies
Molasses Crinkles
Thumbprints
Dark Chocolate Truffles
Candy Canes
Oatmeal Scotchies

So, for 2 weeks we featured staff wishlists — see them all here . These are some of my absolute FAVORITE designs that I would die to buy
