Perfectly fitting one cup of tea or one cupcake or muffin, this table puts your food or drink on a pedestal – literally. Crafted from solid ash wood and fitted with a ceramic plate and colorful waxed cotton strings, the shape of the table is inspired by that of a flower bouquet. DesignK is launching their Tea for One Tea Table at Tent London , September 20-23, 2012 at the Truman Brewery. A special thanks to DWR for inviting me to be a part of their 111 Navy Chairs project where I — along with 110 others — answered some questions and made a silly doodle of me in my favorite chair — the Eames Lounge and Ottoman. Special thanks to Berlin-based journalist Marie Sophie Bekker, for being Design Milk’s on-site correspondent for DMY International and providing this article about the event. The DMY International Design Festival is known for supporting young talents and focusing on inspirational and conceptual design approaches. So the 8th edition of the DMY that took place a little over a week ago (June 9-13) revealed pioneering products and experimental prototypes by more than 400 designers from all over the world
