Gore Design Co. calls themselves “purveyors of fine concrete” but I call them artists. It takes a lot of skill to make a sink that leaves a long-lasting impression. But Gore hasn’t made just one sink that leaves me speechless — check out my favorites below and then visit their website for more creative designs (including fireplaces, countertops and furniture).

Box 1-7 , created by Finnish designer Pekka Kuivamäki, is one nifty shelving system. Each box fits inside of each other like Russian nesting dolls. Barcelona-based BeaMalevich launched the easily assembled modular shelf to contrast the shape of every other shelf out there. Box 1-7 is composed of seven simple cubes that hang from a single nail on the wall. Each cube hangs from a hand-woven leather rope and can be rearranged to your liking

I can’t get over how cool this is. I want a bird’s nest bed! The “Giant Birdsnest for creating new ideas” was conceived and created by O*GE CreativeGroup as a prototype for new and inspiring socializing space. Part furniture part playground, the design could definitely be useful in tons of scenarios, mostly involving my bedroom. Spanning 4.50m in diameter, the large version can host up to 16 people at once, perfect for informal meetings, giant birds, or, you know, orgies

Yay! I love this collaboration. Danish company Fritz Hansen is working with Maharam and Kvadrat for the launch of Point by Paul Smith. British Designer Paul Smith is known for his vibrant textiles and his reimagining of traditional Scottish Fair Isle knitting is evident in his new Point collection. Available in seven different geometric patterns and eleven colorways, the fabrics are being upholstered onto a selection of Fritz Hansen’s classic design icons including the Egg, Swan and Grand Prix by Arne Jacobsen and the PK22 chair by Poul Kjærholm, as well as the Alphabet Sofa by Piero Lissoni. Les frères Plo , designed by Gaspard Graulich , is a collection of furniture that functions as either side tables or display cabinets. With four variations that differ in shape and color, they are made of dark wood boards held together via an interlocking system that provides a pop of color and makes each piece stand out. Based in Seoul, Korea, the design studio Tale Co., Ltd.’s Moon Glass isn’t just your ordinary glass. The ceramic cup shows a full moon when it’s full of liquid, then as your drink, it slowly unveils a half moon, then a crescent-shaped moon. Available in two sizes and in black and white, drink your colorful beverages in the white and your turbid rice wine or sake, as they suggest, in your black one
