From South Korean designer Jiwoong Jung comes two lighting fixtures, GYOGAM and ZIGZAG . Taking inspiration from power line towers and speakers, the GYOGAM floor lamp resembles the tower structures you see everywhere. The lamp is lit on both sides through the two dome-like fixtures. I definitely get the speaker vibe from it and almost expect music to come pouring out, but I love the diffused glow of the light that it creates. I don’t think I’d recommend sticking your face in the fixture when the light is turned on! The ZIGZAG is the ceiling-mounted version of the GYOGAM .

Materials: Billys in 2 sizes, Kusiner storage baskets, Tjusig rack, Tajma wall clock Description: Since we had used all Ikea furniture in our older son's room and we thought that perhaps someday our 2 boys might share a room, we wanted to continue on with using matching Ikea furniture so it could all be combined for a nice look. I also couldn't bear to waste money on a changing table we would only use for a short time. I started designing and came up with our Ikea Billy changing station. From the duo of Fetiche Design Studio comes the El Dorado Collection for Schuster . The wood stool comes in two different heights and is made of metal and wood. The legs of the tripod stools are configured in a less traditional way with a twisted, pretzel-like formation. The bar-height stool features a simple metal foot rest.

Ondule is a slip-covered chair by French designer Mattis Esnault that arose from a call for projects from the French design schools. Undulating waves of foam and Kvadrat fabric form a skin-like layer on top of the solid chair form. According to the designer, the chair is an exploration of sound waves and frequency as well as the potential of the materials.

Remember my love for Field Day’s Shingles cabinet ? Well, I’m dying over the Envelope Chest . I was so excited about the Shingles cabinet that I didn’t even see it at first! It’s a giant wooden interoffice envelope that holds tons of giant memos!* Genius. *I sat around for a half hour trying to think up something clever to say and, as you can tell, I got nothin’.

Not that you really need a warm fire during this mild winter, but Planika Fires’ Fire Long coffee table is a twofor – both a coffee table and a smokeless firepit, it emits warmth you can truly gather around. This is such a great solution for those who don’t have a built-in fireplace or enough space for a wall model. Young UK-based designer Andy Murray’s SD2.0 shelves were shown last year at Tent London and are now available for preorder . The design is nice and geometric, very simple and yet when you first look at them they look a bit lopsided. Playing tricks on your eyes, the shelves are actually level, but the middle one faces the opposite way, making them only appear to be wonky. San Francisco-based Soft Cities creates blankets and napkins, or Mapkins as they call them, which feature a map with a location of your choice. The company then prints your map with special markers that you’ve chosen (like “I was here” or “Mom’s house”) and prints them locally on a soft fleece for the blankets or 100% Kona cotton for the napkins.
