Le Nuage By Wout Wessemius

Le Nuage is a suspended handmade light that resembles a cloud. Made from polyester wadding, each light is one of a kind with its own unique shape. Netherlands-based Wout Wessemius designed the piece to emit functional and ambient light with the use of energy-efficient bulbs

Pl(a)ywood Furniture by Silvia Knüppel

I love this piece of furniture called Pl(a)ywood by German designer Silvia Knüppel . Made of 38 layers of plywood boards, loosely stacked, the shape of Pl(a)ywood is determined by what you decide to use it for. Shift different sections out to create pedestals for items and store items in the recessed areas. Big Wonkys by Vanja Bazdulj

Big Wonkys by Vanja Bazdulj are vessels that celebrate and show off the beauty of the imperfect, asymmetrical or “wrong.” In nature, there are happy accidents, such as coral or stone formations and these silly felted objects mimic the idea of accidental design. The experimental aspect of this series is so great. Vipp’s New Color of the Year: Copenhagen Green

The Vipp Annual Color 2012—Copenhagen Green—is a tribute to the Danish capital, which also happens to be Vipp’s hometown, and now the site of the company’s very first flagship store. The shade is derived from the many shades of green evident in the cityscape of historical architecture with oxidized copper roofs. Three products are being produced in the new color in the US starting in February 2012: a soap dispenser, a toilet brush and pedal bins in three sizes. Meanwhile, you can still pick items in this year’s annual color (which, ironically, looks like this year’s Pantone Color of the Year ). Did you know that Vipp’s first pedal bin was designed back in 1939?

Millipede by Michael Samoriz

Futuristic organism or chair? Millipede is a stool/chair created by Michael Samoriz of Umbra Design that’s kind of jellyfish-like. He explains that it’s a “symbiosis of cyberpunk and bionics” and inspired by the look of “Dron” guardians from The Matrix trilogy. Sensei by Claudio Sibille

I’m always interested to see how designers create pieces of furniture that are not only space-saving, but multifunctional, such as this Sensei chair/table set from Claudio Sibille . Flip the chairs on their sides and piece them together like a puzzle to create a console table. Mr. T: another iMac standing desk

Materials: EXPEDIT Shelving unit 4×4 (white), 2x LACK Wall shelf 30×26cm (white), 79×39x1.8cm beech work plate, 50×24x25.cm beech work plate, 2 CAPITA console stainless steel, some EXPEDIT gear Description: Recently I began to feel unhappy with my current home office environment. At work I am sitting all day in front of my iMac and when I get home I really didn't feel like sitting anymore. So I started looking for alternative ways of working and thought about my last job where we had tables to move up and down in case we felt more like standing at work.
