Fulo ‘s Constellation Table is basically a many-legged table, except that the placement of the lefts is determined by you. Place four legs in the corner, or take inspiration from the stars and create a constellation of legs. The TamTam is a new lamp designed by Fabien Dumas inspired by a roster of interesting imagery: a juicy bunch of grapes; Nick Mason’s drums from Pink Floyd; the constellation of Perseus. Archetypal lampshades are geometrically arranged to invoke a feeling of organized chaos. There’s a large central shade in lacquered aluminum, to which various smaller satellite shades are attached, all with opalescent, methacrylate diffusers over the open end to soften the light. The smaller shades can be rotated through 350 degrees using a swivel mechanism.

Materials: Chest of drawer – TARVA – not yet in the range Description: Three weeks ago I attended an IKEA contest in which I should design a chest of drawers, which is not yet on the market. It is made … of pine wood and so I could worked on it very well. With all of our furniture in white, I decided to use a lot of color this time and to incorporate many styles: The brightness of colors from the Orient, adorable handbatiked fabrics from Bali, Dot Paintings from Australia, the Meditation of mandalas and just a little inspiration from nature. And because I love to play Papillon (it's Ludo played with Rummy Cards) with my children, I've milled this in the form of a mandala at the top of the dresser

Brand new housewares company JDWilks Fineware has debuted its first collection: A peppy line of contemporary-meets-vintage placemats. Each set (there are three) are made out of cork and board from sustainable forests ad printed with eco-friendly inks. Dad’s Cooking is a tongue-in-cheek design suggesting some may opt for altogether different eating implements. In addition to the simple knife and fork, there are three other pairings: wrench and ax, trowel and spade, and hammer and hacksaw, all silhouetted in black on a green and black plaid background. Barcelona Tiles draws on the beautiful tile designs of its namesake city that were created during the late 19th and early 20th centuries

Industrial designer Nir Meiri ‘s Desert Storm lights were inspired by just that. She says, “The shape of the sand-molded lamp shades brings to mind primitive dessert structures, while the fixture’s overall figure resembles that of plants that blossom in the Mediterranean seashore.” The shades, made from sand, are rough on the inside and smooth outside, and affixed to a sturdy iron pole. The lamps, which come in standing and table models, take LED bulbs but spread a soft light.

We’ve featured products by industrial designer David Fox numerous times: Kruze lounge chair, Kavern bed, and Pollen seating system. His pieces are refined and distinctly geometric. As a former graffiti artist with a background in automotive design, we were interested to see just what makes this award-winner tick. His Friday Five reveals a mix of basics, classics, relaxation, and innovation. 1.
