Sander van der Haarod of Netherlands-based design firm Spell sent over some of their new projects, of which this Nomad table caught my eye. Because we are still discovering the ways in which we use tablets, we need to re-think how furniture might be better designed to accommodate these new lifestyles. The Nomad table has a special cutout that serves as a stand for your tablet, great for reading, watching movies, or working. Nomad comes in round or square and various colors. Shell Thomas is an Australian product designer based in London who has created this adorable rocking horse from cardboard. Reggie the Eco Rocker is made entirely from 100% recyclable Dufaylite Ultra Board, so he’s a sustainable alternative to the typical wooden rocking horse. He comes flat-packed and can be easily assembled and even customized using your child’s art supplies. Kenyon Yeh ‘s latest designs are a series of lamps called Nuo . Yeh traveled to Indonesia to work with local traditional craftsman and learn rattan weaving techniques. The Nuo lamps are made from rattan strips from banana trees. The nice tapered middle of the lights create a sleek silhouette perfect for use in modern interiors.

Maxim Maximov is a Russian a furniture designer whose latest design recently won first place in a recent Russian design competition whose judges included Ross Lovegrove, Vadim Kibardin, and Oscar Zieta. The idea behind One Line was to create furniture from one continuous line.

Blik and Threadless have paired up yet again to launch these adhesive Pattern Wall Tiles . The collection has started off with five self-adhesive sets featuring designs from the Threadless community. Non-toxic and free of both PVC and phthalates, the 16-square-foot tiles are developed for smaller surface areas that you want to accent, such as behind the bed, over a sofa, or even on kitchen cabinets.
