Fixtures are often ignored when remodeling or redecorating your home, but why? They are the jewelry of your home. These gorgeous electrical switches and sockets called Elo were designed by Frédéric Bugnot. Distributed by French company Realitem , Elo switches are a far cry from those boring white rectangles you can get at the big box store (although I have to admit, I am guilty of owning boring rectangles). Like smooth pebbles, Elo are available in a variety of finishes and also come in push-button, two-way switch, or socket styles.

I found Ubabub on Black Eiffel and instantly I knew I had to spread the word. Functional, well-designed contemporary baby and kid furniture is tough to get right, but I think Melbourne, Australia-based company Ubabub has done a great job. At ICFF , I met the duo behind Elemental Living — Jonathan Coppin and Scott Dergance — two very hip down to earth architects who have just launched their first collection. Their Ilex lounge chair hit my sweet spot. The stacking Shuffle Desk Tidy from RALLI Design is great for things beyond just paperclips and tacks. Use it for jewelry, gadgets, doodads, whatever. Made of six ceramic containers and six removable ash bases, you can stack them to organize in any configuration you’d like. If you’re like me, you want things in the same place all the time, exactly where you want them. The Shuffle Desk Tidy gives you that option.
