Airline 009 Chair

The Airline 009 Chair, originally one of Walt Disney’s favorite chairs, has been reimagined by designer Cory Grosser for the Walt Disney Signature Line . Commissioned in the late 1930s by Walt Disney himself for his new studio, the chair was beautifully made, but Cory’s new design does a great job of respecting the original while modernizing the lines for today. Q3 by 7n3 Design

The Q3 system, designed by 7n3 Design , looks like a Rubik’s Cube, but in this instance the challenge isn’t to line up the colors, but to make a comfortable seat. Q3 can easily be transformed from a cube into an armchair with side table (using the hard side) or ottoman (using the soft side). Each Q3 is unique because each color scheme will only be used once. All blocks are upholstered separately with Kvadrat’s Tonus 3 and then joined to a frame.
