Tuft Stool #2, birch and carpet poms The Tuft stools by Studio801 are beech and birch stools with carpet poms on top as cushioning. These carpet poms are used in the textile industry to show ranges of carpeting colors. Studio801 has collaborated with one of the UK’s most well-known carpet companies to create custom pom cushions for each stool in a grid or circular pattern

This stool designed by Christopher Kurtz has tube-like hollow legs that look as though they were created from the stool’s seat being pulled downwards. Looks like a cute little button from the top! Piodão Group is has launched a brand new collection of rugs called Prêt-à-Porter that are just as exciting and colorful as their previous pieces . The “Any” rug, designed by Pedro & Rita Ferreira (Pedrita Studio – Lisbon, Portugal) follow the traditional Portuguese multicolor crochet hot-cloth’s where no threat is wasted and is truly a statement of sustainability. Following the brand’s philosophy, the wool left over from the factory’s regular production is re-rolled and reintroduced into the manufacturing process minimizing waste and environmental impact. The resulting material is then utilized to create a one-of-a-kind “Any” with a strong visual character reflecting the factory weekly production.

Gig is a new concept in multi-use furniture designed by Toronto-based designer Davide Tonizzo . Gig can be transformed into four different seating options: a chair and ottoman, two ottomans, a chaise, and a full bed. No complex mechanisms to deal with, simply moving around of the cushions and frame. Check out this fun video . Gig will be launched at the IDS11 in Toronto this month.
