The Constellation Series pendant light from Fire Farm Lighting is a stunning star in any room. Pendants are available in four sizes up to 12 feet in diameter. Made of perforated metal, it is available in black, white and stainless steel, or — if you’re re looking for something unique — dichroic color-changing. Fire Farm was founded in California in 1990 by Adam Jackson Pollock and Benjamin Goldstone and is now located in Iowa, where they continue to collaborate with artists and designers on unique lighting solutions

OK, we’re not talking about lazy in the sense that the designers are lazy, rather that the pieces they create make us feel lazy. Or tired, or comfortable… Whatever words you choose to describe it. I Love Belgium spotted two great examples of lazy furnishings. Do you have any to add to the list? La Cambre student Linda Topic designed this bed — “Le Lit” (The Bed) — in collaboration with artist Antonin Bachet for French linen brand Descamps’ 150-year anniversary competition.

MAKE ME. The Emergence of BUTCH-CRAFT in Contemporary Design is a new exhibition opening September 15 at Moss . Through the infusion of a cerebral yet virile narrative applied to rough work crafted in wood, iron, steel, marble, rush, paint, boiled leather, clay, baked agricultural waste, plant-life, gypsum drywall, and blood, sweat and tears.

She was a great fan of the Ikea playkitchen, and although we thought it was very cool, it was a bit expensive for us.

American artist Boris Bally has created these fun Transit Chairs and Tables available at Outdoorz Gallery .Bally uses recycled street signs as a celebration of a raw American street-aesthetic. Bally uses his skills as a jeweler, combining them with sculpting and industrial design to create a chair that is crafted for functional use that also considers the original street sign.
