From the Italian firm Mykonos Design comes the eco-friendly Clock Box , which is exactly as it sounds – a clock in a box. Using a black or white paper wine box to form the structure and to hide the clock fittings, the working clock is like a miniature grandfather clock. Long and narrow, the portable device makes telling time super easy. It comes in either the single version or a dual version so that you can keep track of two different time zones

Composed of 36 boxes that are 36cm square, Limit is a shelving unit designed by Alp Nuhoglu that actually has, well, no limits. You can stack and place the boxes any way you wish, both horizontally and vertically, to create any number of combinations to make the perfect shelf or room divider. The finished product not only is great for storage, it creates a pretty cool optical effect in the room giving it an almost sculptural quality. Limit is available through Delta Ofis . First, we brought you the swinging table and now we present the Swing Sofa. German furniture designer Werner Aisslinger, of Studio Aisslinger , designed this rocking sofa for Vitra to promote a little relaxation in the office place. The A-frame structure suspends a comfy, cushioned sofa for two, where the smooth motion remains controlled. While it was made for the work environment, I think it’s perfect for a porch or a playroom

Julie Arrivé ‘s new Home Desk for Singularité-Editions was inspired by a traditional school desk, but updated for working adults. You might remember as a child storing all your books and pencils under the desk lid, always having a nice, clean surface to work on.

This chair makes me want to sing “I wanna rock right now” really loudly (from Rob Base’s song “ It Takes Two “) and I have the Zurich-based Micasa Lab to thank for that. They developed the iRock , a traditional looking rocking chair with the ability to charge your iPad (or iPhone) just by simply rocking back and forth. The chair has a dock that your iPad sits in so you can conveniently control the music you’re rocking out to, along with built-in speakers. The design, powered by a generator that converts the movement into power, makes it possible to listen and charge your Apple devices at the same time.

If you’ve stuffed a Christmas stocking in the last ten years, chances are you’ve used a product conceived by Knock Knock . You know them, those tongue-in-cheek sticky notes and pre-printed grocery list pads in perky colors. Berkeley, California native Jen Bilik, who founded the company in 2002, achieved her goal, which was to create witty, design-driven goodies.
