Have you ever just wanted to move your bed outside so that you could sleep under the stars? Or, so you can pretend you’re camping without having to sleep on the ground? Luckily Milan-based designer Patricia Urquiola has created something where you can do just that. The Kettal Cottage was made for the Spanish company Kettal and it’s a modern, house-shaped retreat that just screams relaxation (and my name!).

This year marks the 60th anniversary of Fritz Hansen’s ever-popular 3-legged Ant™ chair by Arne Jacobsen. In celebration they donated 25 of them to Jamie Oliver’s Better Food Foundation charity and The BIG Chair Project began.

UK-based company Polly Granville takes old pieces of furniture and restores and reinvents them into more contemporary designs. By restoring original frames or rebuilding pieces and adding new upholstery, every single piece has its own personality. They work with local craftspeople and upholsterers to get the most creative results possible. This particular piece caught my eye. It’s an oversized chair (a chair and a half) – the perfect place to snuggle with that special someone.

Puff! is the perfect name for this playful furniture by Israeli designer Moran Barmaper Using a simple bicycle pump, you can inflate Puff!’s metal seat. Yes! Blow-up metal furniture! For quite some time. Moran has been attempting to blow metal and after using various methods, she has been able to inflate it using a bike pump. Using a template, she was able to create her Yayu table, which has a flat surface area for drinks and books. Another inflatable piece is the Dan bench.

Milano Smart Living is about to take the US by storm with their high end, Italian-made furniture that is perfect for anyone looking to save on space. Multifunctional furniture is where it’s at for city dwellers and anyone living in tight quarters. Even if you’re not, dual-purpose furniture is a smart way to get more bang for your buck. One of my favorites is their Minuetto table. It starts out as a console table but quickly transforms into a large dining table big enough to seat 10 people

After coming across the latest prints and items from Denmark-based RosenbergCph , I was smitten. Exploring their entire catalog of bed linens, pillows, and bags, you’ll see beautiful patterns that are printed onto 100% organically grown cotton and made locally in Denmark. They offer an array of everything from pillows in different sizes and shapes, floor cushions, tablecloths, tea and coffee cozies, to purses, totes, and bags, all in their signature textiles. Their dotted throws are 100% merino wool and woven locally in one of six color combinations.

Reminder is the name of a dresser designed by Kazuaki Hibino that attempts to address the problems of memory. Sometimes finding the things we need in drawers can be problematic, even when we think we know what is in each drawer. This unit has specially-shaped drawers that play a memory game of sorts… the shapes define the content of the drawers and you make an association of that shape with its contents.
