If you haven’t checked out online shop Sweet As A Nut yet, I recommend you head over there right away (but not before finishing this post!)
Their website is a perfect illustration of their motto “We would like to bring an added piece of uniqueness to your home,“ with plenty of unique designs for all ages and some particularly cute things for the kids.
My favorite item has to be the Write On Write Off Table. Whether it was designed for kids or adults I’m not entirely sure, but what I do know is that I would love to have it. Just think of all those times you can’t find paper or pen when you need it.
Lots more here.

Here’s something fun (& funny!) for your Friday. Table Man is a truly unique seating solution, with tables and chairs that together form the image of a man. Where you might use this I don’t know, but that doesn’t mean it isn’t creative!

Table Man is the work of Jean Jullien, and was presented at the Designers Furniture show on June 25th. See more of her work here.
Happy Friday friends! Be sure to check back Monday for more fun design.

Inspired by pixelated images (who would have thought?!) the Zero PXL Lamp Series is unique in its idea and bold in its design. Designer Frederik Mattson took the form of the traditional lamp and cut it up into rings, disassembled it, and then reassembled it to create the final design you see here. Each features a combination of vibrant colors that are sure to get plenty of attention.

The Zero PXL Lamp Series is the work of Frederik Mattson for Zero.

The idea behind the Resin Fossil Table is almost as cool as its look, which in this case is saying a lot. The Resin Fossil Table comes from Nucleo and the idea behind is is to design the furniture of its objects, making them fossils of themselves. Like archaeologists find the imprint of an original item in a fossil, this table is handmade using fiberglass and pigment and consists of a single empty block that traces the object from which it takes its shape. Cool right?
The Resin Fossil Table is currently on display at the Gabrielle Ammann Gallery. More from Nucleo here.

I can’t say I spend a lot of time or energy looking for planters, but when the Enna Planter popped up on my screen it definitely caught my attention. This planter has a modern look but also has a certain Mediterranean charm, which I’m sure plays an important part of why I like it so much. I could definitely see myself picking up one or two of these to spruce up my yard. What do you think – is the Enna Planter your kind of thing or do you prefer something more classic?

Imagine a chair made from mother of pearl. Korean designer Samwoong Lee did, and the beautifully unique Octopus Chair is the result. Named Octopus because its shape looks different depending on your angle of sight, this chair is sure to keep you captivated.

Mother of pearl is really an interesting choice, both in that it’s an unusual choice for a chair and because of its reflective quality. Natural mother of pearl never has the same color and pattern, and its reflexivity is changed by the angle. It gives this chair a natural, yet at the same time futuristic feel doesn’t it? Talk about cool lighting! The VorteXX from Zumbotel has got to be the coolest lighting I’ve seen in a while. Today’s innovative lighting is due largely in part to the small and versatile nature of LED lighting, and the VorteXX is just another great example.

VorteXX is the work of Zaha Hadid and Patrik Schumacher for the Zumbotel Masterpiece Collection. Each piece is made from reinforced fiberglass and translucent acrylic, and houses 190 LEDs. Special technology allows for the color mixing of red, blue, and green with a separate touch panel. More from Zumbotel here.
