This awesome lamp combines two of my favorite things: hot pink and lucite. Isn’t it fabulous? And guess what? It’s $29.99!! Gotta love Target….
The real reason I was initially drawn to this lamp is it’s similarity to the Bourgie Lamp. If you’re not familiar with the Bourgie Lamp, we had a great post [with tons of pics] on it last year. The Bourgie Lamp can be quite expensive in it’s originality, especially when springing for the gold or silver model. Thus, there are a TON of knock-offs. [Which even Target has!]
Although many people have problems with knock-offs of iconic modern furniture, I’m not always one of them. What I do prefer is this hot pink and lucite lamp, because it offers a similar style but switches it up with the lamp shade texture and the pop of color. And it’s affordability, of course!
What do you think about this lamp? Are you digging it’s $30 style or would you rather splurge on the Bourgie Lamp?

For this week, and likely for the next few weeks, we’re switching up the Weekly Six. Instead, we’ve got an awesome Product Pick for you: Indoor Fairy Lights.
When I saw the line “Indoor Fairy Lights,” I wasn’t sure what to expect. Then as I clicked through to the page, I was completely excited by what I saw – there are so many fun options! First of all, I love the heart wreath of lights. It would be so pretty and romantic in a bedroom. And the idea of lighting up a floral bouquet with these lights? Great idea, especially for wedding centerpieces – to coordinate with the bridal bouquet.
Also included with indoor fair lights are tons of awesome string lights in different shapes, including holiday lights as well in the shape of pumpkins, snowflakes, etc. I remember stringing Christmas lights through my bed posts as a kid – these would be way cooler!
Check out the rest of the Indoor Fairy Lights offered by Lights 4 Fun and tell us which are your favorite!
Have a great holiday weekend!!

Do you have a lot if family photos in your home? I don’t, but I’ve been printing a bunch out for a special event and I’m thinking I want to incorporate a style like these canvases above.
All you do is paint the edges of a canvas black – or whatever color you like – and mod podge the photo to the surface. Then if you prefer, you can mod podge over the photo as well. So easy and the effect looks awesome. These would be great for displaying wedding photos, don’t you think?

Wouldn’t it be nice to just float the days away perched on this fluffy chair? I’d say so…
This week’s product pick is the Snöbär Chair, which means snowberry in Swedish. The base is made of oak hardwood, which contrasts with the soft, bubbly white seat cushion.
Snöbär is designed by yonder magnetik, an architecture and furniture design studio.
To me, this chair would be a fabulous diversion around a dining table – not your typical dining chair. Where do you see the Snöbär Chair?

I must still be in the Gatsby state of mind, because these chandeliers are really calling to me. The style of a crystal can be a bit more on the traditional side, but when placed in a modern setting – forget it, I love it!
These chandeliers you see above are from Endon Lighting. They are reasonably priced, and I can see one in a giant foyer, another in a sleek modern bedroom, a third over a fabulous kitchen table, a fourth in a chic contemporary living room. I would even put one of these babies in the bathroom. Beautiful!
Not sure which one I would choose, but I definitely need at least one of these in my near future. The crystals and the way they reflect the light have a gorgeous effect in any room.
What do you think of these chandeliers? Too much crystal for you or just right?

Ok, so last week we talked about The Great Gatsby and how I was dying to see it. Luckily, I was able to catch it this Saturday – in 3D – and I was not disappointed. Has anyone else seen it?
Don’t worry – I’m not going to talk about it and how great I thought it was. What I really want to talk about is the collaboration between Tiffany’s and the movie. Ironically, I had been on the Tiffany & Co. website on Saturday morning because I was looking at a gift idea for someone. On their homepage, there was a link to the video above, which of course side-tracked my gift hunt.
It’s really interesting and quick to watch – it talks about how Tiffany & Co. let the costume designers of The Great Gatsby dive deep into their archive to use pieces for the movie. I was so excited to find this video before I went to the movie, so I was able to find the pieces while watching.
But how about that headpiece that Daisy Buchanan wears? It can be yours for a cool $200,000! Take a look at all of the pieces available for purchase – which would you choose?

Last week, a friend and I went to a local furniture store that was holding a bridal event. We were given a bundle of free gifts and a tour of the store. When we got to the part with memory foam mattresses, I expressed my apprehension for these mattresses. Are they too soft? Isn’t it strange to have a mattress that’s so foamy?
Well, my friend has one in her bedroom and she was quick to correct my uncertainty. She said her memory foam mattress is by far the most comfortable mattress she’s ever had and her nights of sleep have been noticeably improved. Still feeling a bit unconvinced, I walked around the store and tested out some of these mattresses.
Needless to say, I’m now hooked. All I have to do is convince my fiance that we absolutely need one of these mattresses and I’m golden. But which one will I choose? I’m thinking one of these double memory foam mattresses is my future – double is always better!
What do you think about memory foam mattresses? Do you have one?

As a kid, I would have died for anything purple. It was my absolute favorite. All I wanted when I started driving was a “shiny purple” Dodge Neon. By the time I got my license, I was cheating on purple with pink.
But lately, I’m turning back to my old trusted friend purple and taking note of it’s effect on modern home decor.
My personal favorite way to see purple is when its a plush bright purple that gives a pop to the room, as in the first image above. There are so many moods to purple, from dark to light and all that falls in between. It works just as well as an accent color as it does as the dominant color in a room. Maybe I’ll have to start cheating on my beloved pinks and turn back to purple….
What are your thoughts on purple in home decor?

If there was ever a piece of furniture that could get you in the mood for summer fun, it would be Juicy. Usually it’s a tropical smell or drink or food or piece of clothing, but today it’s Juicy.
Designed by Angelo Tomaiuolo Design, the product description states that “JUICY is a comfortable stackable colourful chair inspired by the freshly squeezing of fruit juice. It’s conceived in a great range of colours and finishing versions, gloss bicoloured recyclable polycarbonate, transparent coloured and mat, suitable for both indoor and outdoor use.”
The model with the white exterior and orange interior reminds me of a creamsicle. I can just see myself lounging in one of these bright modern chairs by the pool sipping on a tropical and fruity drink of the same color scheme.
Can’t you see it? What do you think of these awesome chairs?
