Did you have a chance to go see the Great Gatsby this weekend? I didn’t, but am hoping to go sometime this week.
The elaborate costumes and decor are both things I don’t want to miss. Plus, the story is quite enchanting! And I did have a giant crush on Leo back in his Titanic days, so seeing him as Gatsby won’t be so bad either!
Can you imagine living in this era? It would be so fun to dress up like that – we’re so casual these days!
If you saw Great Gatsby, what did you think??

5 – Such a simple but beautiful bedframe.
6 – This wine glass would be perfect for the days I’ve been having!
See you back here on Monday!

If you were redoing your kitchen in a colorful theme, which of these two looks would you rather? One bright solid color or two tones – one bright, one darker?
For me, I don’t love two-tone, so this would be a no-brainer. The bright turquoise with the dark floors is a classy way of using color, in my opinion.
What are your thoughts on these kitchens? Which look would you rather?

Happy Hump Day!
For this week’s product pick, we’ve got a beautiful table lamp from Penta that is radiant and gorgeous. Also available in pendant lights, the Glo Table Lamp is made from chromed metal and borosilicate glass. It is offered in two different sizes and two different colors – either silver or gold.
The Glo Table Lamp somewhat reminds me of an oversized wine glass – which I absolutely love! It is also available as a floor lamp which would illuminate any room.
What are your thoughts on the Glo Table Lamp? Where would you put one in your home?

My obsession with the website Dinner: A Love Story is no secret. Literally every recipe I make from there is amazing. Like put-a-ring-on-it amazing.
One of my favorites is super-easy and super-delicious. All you have to do is throw some salmon to bake in the oven and while it’s cooking, chop some scallions and ginger and mix them with some soy sauce and oil. I usually grate the ginger to save even more time. When the salmon is done, pour the sauce over each piece and serve. This is great with roasted brussel sprouts, or any vegetable you can throw in the oven alongside the salmon!
Here is the full recipe, including the sauce, which they have added a few more items to it since the initial post, but I keep it simple with the four ingredients mentioned above.
In fact, I’m making this for dinner tonight. If you try it, let me know how it comes out!

While searching for some gorgeous spaces today, I rounded some favorites and noticed the similar tone of blue in the two images. The deep color must be calling to me today!
None of these images have much in common, aside that they’re pretty places. They are each from a different room – one the bathroom, another from the kitchen, the third from a seating area and the fourth an open living room. Back to the blue, I was really in the mood for some bright white rooms today, but I felt like I’ve covered that before so I went for some color and unintentionally went for the blue and threw in some seafoam green.
Blue is a color I have a lot of in my house, but the seafoam green – not so much. However, I love it in that bathroom! How about you? Are you a seafoam green kind of person?

Happy Friday!! Hope you enjoy the first weekend in May.
Here’s this week’s Weekly Six:
1 – I had a similar salad last week in NYC made from shaved brussel sprouts, and similar to this recipe. It was absolutely delicious and I can’t wait to recreate it at home.
2 – Wouldn’t it be fun to wear a giant hat like this every once and a while?
3 – Beautiful and bright white dressing room. How about those flowers?
4 – Light up your porch with this awesome mat.
5 – Great use of small space with this shelf and painted console.
6 – What do you think of tissue paper flowers on display?
Have a great weekend!

Going off of yesterday’s product pick and my previous weekend in Miami, now I want to give my backyard and outdoor space a makeover.
So, like any normal person would, I went on Pinterest for some inspiration and here are a few things my backyard now needs:
1 – A hot pink tufted lounge area over both sides of my pool.
2 – A gigantic fire place surrounded by modern outdoor sofas.
3 – A sunken dining area around an in-ground pool – so we can eat and swim and all be at the same level. This will make the hot pink lounge areas easier to implement as well.
4 – Outdoor mirrors. How come I’ve never seen this before? Have you seen this before? Love it!!
Which of these would you include in your backyard??

Right now I am insanely jealous of anyone sitting on a beach or even looking at a beach. Even if it’s from their office window. After spending a long weekend in Miami, I’m missing the bright blue water and the warm sand. And this week’s product pick isn’t helping my wanderlust…
The F3 is designed by Fabio Novembre for Vondom. From Contemporist, “F3 is based on mathematical surfaces that flows freely until reach the perfect function of each element. An apparently simple design that requires an accurate study of engineering and high precision, achieving a stackability concept never seen before in rotomolding.”
How badly do you wish you were lounging on one of these chairs right now? Happy Hump Day!!

In the mood for a weekend project? The acrylic bubbles and some gold leaf add a great touch to this simple IKEA lamp shade. I would love a larger version over my kitchen table, but really this lamp would look great anywhere. And to know you did it yourself in a quick and easy project would make it look even better!
For the tutorial on how to make this yourself, check out Pudel-design. Where will you put it??
