A Star’s Home

This isn’t just any star’s home, it’s Darren Star’s home. Don’t recognize the name? He’s the creator behind favorite shows such as 90212, Melrose Place, Sex and the City, and the recent GCB.

Architectural Digest featured his recently renovated Bel Air home in their March 2012 issue. Personally, I’m drooling over the grey lacquered bar room and the giant disco ball painting.

How about you?

Navy Blues

I don’t know about you, but I’m always in the mood for a nice, deep navy blue – no matter what shape or form it’s in. So yes, I’ll take one of each of these. Except for the dishes – I’ll take eight of those!

How do you take your navy blues?

Painted Ceiling: Love this Look?

I came across this image the other day on SF Girl by Bay and I’ve gone back numerous times just to stare at it. It’s just so fun and whimsical and perfect. It’s not just the ceiling that’s perfect, but everything about the white walls and the color parallel within the bedding.

Would you keep this space the same or would you go for a different color palette?

Les frères Plo

Translated to the Plo brothers, Les frères Plo is a collection designed by Gaspard Graulich.

Graulich’s website describes Les frères Plo: “With a basic interlocking system, vivid colors and friendly proportions, they just want to give some lightness and personality to our living spaces.”

As shown above, Les frères Plo break down nicely, making them extremely easy to ship.

What do you think of the vibrant Les frères Plo?

More Mid-Century Mod

A couple of weeks ago, I posted this mid-century modern home for sale in Salt Lake City and ever since I’ve been sneaking a few minutes here and there on the Move Modern website where I found that house. They have some beautiful and interesting homes on their site, and I definitely recommend checking them out. One of those homes is shown above; a modern home available for sale in Charlotte, North Carolina. I love it’s bright light and concrete floors. And it’s on the market for $340,000.

Makes me want to relocate, how about you?!

Uovo Black Pearl

My house would be at least 1000 times more fabulous if I had one of these Uovo Black Pearl chandeliers hanging in it. Wouldn’t yours?

As uovo is Italian for “egg,” the egg-shaped attributes of this gorgeous chandelier are made using glass-blowing techniques and then finished in either gold or silver.

The Uovo Black Pearl is made by glass company Lasvit in collaboration with designer Rony Plesi.

What do you think of the Uovo?
