Look at that – I’m a poet and I didn’t even know it! But, you’ve got to check out this awesome ColorSnap app by Sherwin Williams.
ColorSnap enables you to take a photo of any colors that inspire you and match them to a paint color. As you can see, I’ve been inspired by the color of my manicure. So, I took a picture of my hand, touched the area of my nail that I liked the most and was instantly matched with Gladiola!

Gladiola is a little bit different, but still pretty close to my nail color! By clicking “Adjust Colors” the app gives you the option to view similar colors with different hues and saturations. For me, ColorSnap is a fun way to get inspiration for paint colors – a task that never seems to be quite easy!
Would you use this app? Are there any other apps you can recommend?

How perfect is this idea of stacking 3 different sizes of mirrors? The bright pink adds the perfect pop of color. I love the look and the idea.
What color would you paint if you did something like this in your home? Would you do all of the frames the same color, or three different ones?

This morning, I came across these wood mosaic tiles from Mosaico+ on Trendir and I’m loving the combination of the different wood finishes with the glass, metal or stone tiles.
How great would these look in a restaurant or in a fun, hip bar? But the real question is, WOOD you put these in your home?

Outdoor kitchens can be transformed into amazing spaces, as shown by these images above.
Depending on the climate in which you live, these spaces can certainly get more use than an indoor kitchen! Either way, if you’re a big outdoor entertainer, I think it’s definitely worth having an abundant outdoor kitchen.
What do you think – are you a fan of outdoor kitchens or do you find them unnecessary?

Transform your home into a patriotic palace for the 4th of July – or all year round – with these home decor items adorned with the American Flag.
An American Flag pillow or rug gives you more of a temporary, seasonal fix, while flag bedding or furniture items a bit more permanent. Would you keep an American Flag within your decor all the time or just for holidays and seasons??
The items above are:
1) Aubusson American Flag Pillow
2) Bean Bag USA Flag
3) American Flag 8-Piece Complete Bed in A Bag
4) American Flag Country Rug
5) American Flag Sofa Bed

Red…

White…

Or blue?
With such a patriotic holiday on the horizon, it’s got me thinking – if red, white and blue were the only colors in the world, and I could only choose one to decorate with – which would I choose?
Since I couldn’t bring myself to make such a rash decision, I narrowed it down to sofas. If I could only choose one of three colors for my sofa (a much easier question, by far!) – I would choose white. But it would probably get dirty. So I choose blue!
What about you? If you were only allowed to choose from red, white or blue sofas – which would you choose?
[The three sofas above are all from Ligne Roset - you can find them in the 2011 Ligne Roset catalog.]

Fourth of July is a lovely holiday for entertaining, especially this year as it falls on a Monday for a nice, long weekend.

Red, white and blue is floating around everywhere, especially on these lovely tabletops.
You can go the DIY route and create your own Independence Day banner and cake decor, as in the first image above. There are also so many festive items that can be used as they are, such as the fun pinwheels used as a centerpiece in the second image.
Do you decorate your home for the 4th of July? Are you mainly a DIY-er or an improviser? We’d love to hear your tips!
