Looking for a delicious way to display your patriotism this 4th of July without spending 10 hours in the kitchen? Why not make a fresh fruit trifle in red, white and blue?
A 4th of July trifle is my favorite way to create a cute dessert that is light and refreshing. Plus, there are so many variations and different ingredient options to make it your own.
So, how to make it? Well, for the red you can be creative and use strawberries, raspberries, cherries – even watermelon. You can use one of those, two of them, or all – totally up to you.
For the blue layer, you’re a bit limited to blueberries, but that’s ok because the white gives you plenty of options! The white part of the trifle can be regular yogurt, vanilla yogurt, greek yogurt, whipped cream, ice cream – all or one of the above.
You can layer the fruits and filings in a pattern that suits you and your favorite flavors. Pound cake or angel food cake can be added for more texture. If you want to be really fancy, you can decorate the top of the dessert with the leftover berries.
Once you’ve decided on the fruit and fillings you’re going to use and how you plan to arrange them, layer them together in a trifle dish or individual glasses or bowls. But make sure the dish you use is clear – so that everyone can see your beautiful July 4th creation!

Incorporating trays into tabletops and vignettes is such a clean way to display flowers, candles, books, etc.
Or organize a pretty perfume collection!
It’s always a great and easy way to add a pop of color, not only with the tray itself but also with the items displayed inside.

If you watched Million Dollar Decorators this week, then you certainly recognize Mary McDonald’s painted zig-zag floors above.
At first the owner of the home said they reminded her of Willy Wonka, but then loved them at the end. What do you think?

There are so many ways to display your television, especially now that flat screens have taken over.

The thin design enables you to mount the TV on the wall. So do you mount the television over a TV stand or do you prefer to let it float with nothing below it?

Orrr, do you mount the TV on the wall, inside a cabinet, so that you can close the doors when the TV is not in use?

Il Pezzo 1 is a modern sideboard that combines solid wood with rounded sand cast brass feet.
This unique piece offers plenty of storage with a unique design that combines contrasting materials and shapes with a spectacular end result.
The majority of the Il Pezzo 1 Sideboard is made from solid wood that is treated with natural oils. The different shaped feet are made from sand cast brass feet that is available in three finishes. Finally, the Il Pezzo 1 is topped off with marble, also available in several different colors. As you can see in the two photos, the finishes of the wood can also be customized.
The Il Pezzo 1 Sideboard is made by Il Pezzo Mancante, a haute-design furniture company based out of Italy.

The Home Traveller is a modern home accessory, made as a combination between a handbag and furniture.
Dubbed the Home Traveller because it is designed to travel throughout the home, rather than being a fixed piece.
If you’re going to a party, take the dessert you made, a change of clothes, cell phone, keys, whatever you may need - and you’ll have an extra place to sit!
Home Traveller is designed by Anne Lorenz, a product designer based out of Germany.

Equilibrium is a modern bookcase designed by Alejandro Gomez Stubbs for Malagana Design.
This balancing act is a freestanding bookshelf that defies gravity and becomes a conversation piece in your home.
The exterior of the Equilibrium is finished in a walnut veneer, with the interior in your choice of white, graphite or celeste. The modern bookshelf as a whole can hold up to 168 lbs. No tools are required for assembly.
Malagana Design is an industrial design firm based out of Brooklyn, NY and Bogota, Colombia.

The Cross Hanging Light is modern pendant light designed by Karim Rashid for Freedom of Creation.
Rashid describes the product as “I thought to make a hyper-collage of my icons as a lit object, in changing scale and mass to create diverse shadows and light filtration, to really make one overriding blobular 3-d cross form, which is my symbol for Globalove”
The Cross Hanging Light is also available as a standing lamp or table lamp.
Freedom of Creation is a design company that specializes in 3D printing technologies.

The Original Stone One Bathtub is a revamped bathtub designed by Elvis Pompilio and Jean-Pol Piron f0r Aquamass.
Picture is the Arcobagno version of the Original Stone One tub.
Garnished with pearls and crystals, this LED backlit bathtub is available in a variety of colors, including red, grey, black, and white. The LEDs also light in various colors.
Aquamass is a design company of innovative modern bathrooms, based out of Brussels.
