Moulding Tradition

“Moulding Tradition” will be presented during the upcoming Dutch Design Week at Design Academy Eindhoven. The objects as part of this project have been reimagined based on a clandestine immigration from Africa to Lampedusa Island in Sicily. Created by Andrea Trimarchi and Simone Farresin, the traditional Sicilian artwork, “teste di moro” have been reworked as “Moor” vases, depicting the faces of anonymous immigrants, to establish their own tradition
