This is certainly like nothing I’ve ever seen before. While I can’t deny that it’s a bit strange, it’s also pretty brilliant. These breathtakingly unique pieces come from Sarah Louise Dix Couture Upholstery, which offers top quality design and upholstery inspired by the form of clothing which it applies to quality vintage furniture. Each design is individually crafted for the piece of furniture it is integrated with, giving already beautiful vintage pieces even more high end style.

Animal by Quentin de Coster is the result of a reflection on the formal and stereotypical perceptions related to the world of childhood. In an attempt to identify the formal universe in which children aged five years evolve, they were asked to draw tables and dogs. The design of animal was then created from drawings and constraints applicable to shape wood. In this way, the furniture takes on a simplified animal appearance, which beyond fun aspirations, allows it to exist without being used

What a neat way to organize your keys! Thanks to Cucampre , it’ll be quite difficult mixing up the keys and now the only thing you have to worry about is forgetting them. This key organizer is also a coat rack. ©2010 Design Milk | Posted by Catrina in Home Furnishings | Permalink | No comments | Tweet This | Share on Facebook Facebook – Design Milk – United States – Clothes valet – Florida

As someone who types on a keyboard all day long (as I’m sure a lot of you do to), the Keyboard Bench instantly caught my attention. This bench is made of Baltic birch and is embedded with two thousand computer keys that you can actually press, though don’t expect any words to show up on your monitor.

The Interactive Wolfgang Keyboard Bench, as it is officially called, is the work of Nolan Herbut. Herbut is a student of Industrial design at the University of Alberta and considers his biggest strength the ability to incorporate outside influences and inspiration like friends, family and other outside factors into his designs. Nope, this isn’t a vase that was placed on the surface upside down by accident. It’s actually the way it’s supposed to be. If you purchase this stone vase from Pieces and place it in your home, you might get a kick out of telling your house guests fake myths about vases placed upside down

Can you believe that the round, clear pieces you see on this pendant lamp by Gülnur Özdaglar are actually made out of used soda bottles? If you look up close at these pieces, you’ll notice some petal-like structures inside that are formed using cutting, heat, and hand-drawing. ©2010 Design Milk | Posted by Catrina in Home Furnishings | Permalink | 2 comments | Tweet This | Share on Facebook Facebook – Home – Design Milk – Catrina – Business
