Autumn is truly my favorite time of the year. The air is crisp, the sun shines and the leaves turn a beautiful array of colors. As always, September 22nd marks the Autumn Equinox so I thought it would be nice to write about some fun fall activities to enjoy this amazing season!

1.  Bake a scrumptious apple, pumpkin or pecan pie. If you don’t enjoy baking, why not try making some delicious butternut squash soup! At the very least, drink a warm cup of spiced cider.

2.  Go apple-picking or pumpkin-picking. If you really want to have some fun, try gourd-picking! Gourds come in so many unique shapes, colors and sizes, I love seeing what I can find

3. Let your inner child shine! Go on a hayride, get lost in a corn maze or leap into a pile of leaves

I am not a fan of bar carts. I have seen tons of them, and never have I seen one that I liked—until now. Mai Tai is the name of this modern bar cart designed by Odosdesign for Punt . The simple white trays lift off the trolley for easy serving, too. The trays come in three colors: white, wood, and aqua.

Designing a room with an accent wall using two different colors of paint has a much different effect than when the accent wall is accented with wallpaper. It’s a little bit more punchy and poppy with the wallpaper, I’d say.
What are your thoughts on wallpaper accent walls?

German ceramicist Nicole Mueller creates a line of contemporary ceramics called Maison Sauvage . The eye-catching pieces feature pops of neon colors alongside white, tan, or black, giving them a distinctive look. The A – Z Collection is a concept that began with actual video footage of how people interact at the table. Mueller studied movements between the people and created each piece built around one similar core and a specific detail of its own. The line changes seasonally with a limited availability.

Ronan and Erwan Bouroullec created Piani for Italian company Flos , a light with a flat base and top available in multiple colors. The lamp’s enlarged base functions as a tray table to hold objects like pens, coins, paper clips, keys or eyeglasses. The light shines down on them as though they’re “on stage.” Share This: Twitter | Facebook | Discover more great design by following Design Milk on Twitter and Facebook .
