Scott Fisher, owner of T2theS Design + Build sent over information about his new company LAMP – “Laid Back Luxury” . Part of LAMP’s first collection, the Hewitt Console caught my eye. It’s made of bleached koto wood with aniline dye and pigmented lacquer sitting on a steel base with blackened patina finish.

From April 12-17, Dilmos in Milan will feature the exhibition IX Mirrors by Ron Gilad, an exhibition that questions the mirror as a reflection of more than just physical appearance. From the release: In the very beginning of life, we first become aware of our existence by being mirrored in the eyes and faces of those around us. The foundation of the sense of who we are in the world begins here.

Reline is a series of three pieces – the Reline Chair, Reline Lounge Chair and Reline Stool. Each piece is made from silicon rubber that is also used in medical equipment. The strength of the silicon rubber provides stability while the mobility of it provides comfort.
As you can see, next to each piece of the ReLine series is a mathematical graph. Each ReLine piece was based off of a popular mathematical equation, as the curves of the chair, lounge chair and stool match the curve of the line.

Michal Maciej Bartosik has created two new floating compression lights that are based on two of Kenneth Snelson ‘s sculptures: ‘Needle Tower’ and ‘City Boots’. Utilizing Snelson’s structural discovery, appropriated and popularized by Buckminster Fuller as “Tensegrity,” Bartosik proposes new possibilities of light forms, whereby the light source and its electrical wire work mutually in compression and tension to produce a seemingly discontinuous field of light defined by it structural form.
