Whenever I hear the word parquet, I can’t help but think of that talking tub of margarine . But, this table isn’t made of margarine, but rather hand-veneered teak strips in a herringbone pattern.

Viya Home is a new collection of home furnishings from India for The Stephanie Odegard Collection recently launched by Stephanie Odegard and Vikram Goyal. It’s a little off my beaten path but I find myself really into all things gold and brass these days (I blame Kelly Wearstler ) so I chose to share some of their brass and gold pieces although they have a variety of finishes available.

It never ceases to amaze me how many awesome international design collectives there are out there to help boost the careers of young designers. I feel like they’re more popular in the UK and Europe. I get excited when I see new international design from lots of talent all in one place — this is why I blog. Thus, when I got an email from Made Out Portugal I was overjoyed. Made Out Portugal is a design platform for Portuguese designers working outside of Portugal that acts like a collective rather than a brand

Materials: FAKTUM wall cabinet, FAKTUM legs, SIGNUM cable outlet kit, PERFEKT SOLÄR plinth Description: So, moving in to my new apartment made me realize just how much stuff I had and how little extra space I actually had available. Therefore I had a little brainstorming session, and this is what I came up with. Instead of using a normal media furniture (I couldn’t find any that wasn’t super-expensive), I decided to use the FAKTUM wall cabinet made for kitchens.

These cool KAWS x Standard collaboration of limited edition filament light bulbs along with KAWS pillows and KAWS companion key chains will be exclusively available for sale at the New York Standard shop . I was able to get my hands on a few of these bulbs courtesy of The Standard and they’re neato. Exposed bulbs are very trendy these days and these KAWS limited edition (1,000 sets of 3 bulbs each) take this trend to the next level with the signature KAWS XX mark and three fun colors in each set: red, purple and green

Scholten & Baijings have created a new series of bed linens, rugs, and tea towels for Denmark-based company Hay , launched at the recent 2011 Maison & Objet . My legs buckle whenever Scholten & Baijings designs anything new, and I’m going to be keeping tabs on this collection as it grows. Innobaby is a Chicago-based company founded by two moms in 2006 who had a desire to create innovative solutions for smart parenting. Innobaby’s containers are well-designed, eco-friendly containers that are 100% recyclable, non-toxic, and BPA, phthalates, PVC, and latex free. From food storage, food on-the-go, to stainless steel platters, and organic bedding, the company has just launched a brand new Keepin’ Fresh stainless steel line of bento boxes and sippy cups. I don’t have any babies, but I like the design of these products enough to use them as an adult.
