I saw the Creator Series on Designspotter and thought wow these are just too cool not to share. I just love the contrast between the playfulness of the legs and the dark solemn top. ©2010 Design Milk | Posted by Jaime in Home Furnishings | Permalink | 1 comment | Tweet This | Share on Facebook More Milk: Art Milk | Dog Milk

OMNI+ is a brand new home theater/entertainment furniture company that has just created its first series of TV stands. In addition to working with design great Karim Rashid, the design team includes Zach Eyman, Lew Gallo, and Mike Murphy. I’m glad to see this type of furniture being designed because it’s very hard to find a good TV stand at a price point between IKEA and DWR. What do you guys put your TVs on? ©2010 Design Milk | Posted by Jaime in Home Furnishings | Permalink | No comments | Tweet This | Share on Facebook More Milk: Art Milk | Dog Milk

The Roulade is my design find today, and I think it’s a really great one. In what I can best describe as Togo meets Chesterfield, this piece combines multiple styles and influences into one captivating and intriguing piece. It’s the work of Kilo Design, a Copenhagen based, idea-driven industrial design firm.

There’s not too much information available about the Roulade yet, but these images are enough to have me already wanting one (at least!) for myself.

Submaterial creates wall and home decor, but I am really into their felt wall panels. Not only are they lovely as wall art, but they’re 3D which adds some texture and interest to your space.

This table is the work of ABGC Architecture & Design for new ad agency Boys and Girls. The design firm was asked to create something “playful but not juvenile” and this captivating table is the result.

Legos are a definite wow factor in this office, if only for the reason of complete unexpectedness. This is certainly not your typical boardroom, but my guess is that it certainly isn’t hurting the creative process. The pieces are covered with glass so there’s no building Lego castles during staff meetings, but nonetheless a pretty cool table.

I love comfortable furniture, and this green lounge called Roulade by Kilo Design looks so inviting. They call it “a meeting between generations and genres. A meeting between mattress and Chesterfield, chair and couch.” Roulade was developed for the theater Mungo Park. These unique pieces of urban furniture by Alexandre Moronnoz are made using metal and timber. This spacey chair is called the Invasion Chair and is the work of Jean-Jacques Jungers for MT4 Architects. It’s not actually from space, but it is meant to explore the limits between figuration, abstraction and functionality. The Invasion Chair comes in both a kids size and an adult size, and its chair cushion is easily changeable and comes in several color choices.
