Easy made conference table

I love hanging plants but I’ve never been a fan of those plastic or faux ceramic looking planters they come in. Australian company Mister Moss to the rescue! They’ve created a line of indoor/outdoor hanging moss balls filled with plants that are handmade and one-of-a-kind. They come in a variety of plants but what makes them truly unique is the various colored string that they’re wrapped in and suspended from.

Smart Console  is a minimalist desk designed by German-based designer  André Schelbach for Yomei . Introduced at IMM Cologne 2012 , this desk features a plethora of functionality including storage space, power outlets, and wire management. The console is ostensibly minimalist and sleek, but all of the components are hidden inside. The velvet-lined drawers are perfect to store and power up any electronic peripheries such as cell phones, hard drives, and music players. Variably positioned magnets are used to organize wires; the cables can be run underneath the desk through a metal frame which are kept completely invisible from the user.

Israeli designer Shmuel Linski created an espresso machine called Espresso Solo using concrete as the primary material. He wanted to make a desirable consumer product for the kitchen from concrete to complement the other more typical uses of concrete in our kitchens such as walls or countertops. As each week goes by, my love for mirrored furniture and anything slightly blinging grows stronger and stronger. This is again exemplified in this week’s product pick with the Stellar Mirror and the Stellar Console.

Designed by Jake Phipps, the Stellar Mirror is made of 750 sized and angled mirrored sections to create a radiant ring of a mirror. The Stellar Console has a seam of 900 similar angles. Each piece is limited to 25 editions per design.

A new company from Spain called DVELAS is making limited edition outdoor furniture from old sails. Created by a group of Spanish architects and designers, DVELAS takes old sails and re-uses them so that they don’t end up in the trash. Instead, they’re transformed into contemporary, comfortable heavy duty outdoor seating. With over six different series of furniture, DVELAS has created a pretty cool line. Each piece comes with information about the sail’s origin such as the port and boat it came from, the type of sail, and the material and original sailmaker.
