Lladró ‘s new collection, Metropolis, is a series of functional objects including vases, lamps, mirrors, and boxes all in the shape of buildings. Inspired by Moorish, Art Deco, and other styles of architecture, as a whole the series creates quite an impressive imaginary city. Each piece in the collection is available in eight different colors that go from a clean white to anthracite, as well as different tonalities of grey, green and yellow. Note Design Studio has redeveloped their Boop Sofa, which was part of their Marginal Notes collection , and added other pieces to the Boop collection. This time dressed in solid colors, Boop’s rounded silhouette, big buttons, and simple shape give a feeling of casual comfort and playfulness. Photos by Mathias Nero.

Minimii has released an Arne Jacobsen 1:16 House and a smaller version called the MiiBox™ as an homage to the designer. A 1:16 replica of Arne Jacobsen’s own villa at Gotfred Rodes Vej 2 in Charlottenlund, Denmark built in 1929, the house is great as a dollhouse or a collector’s item.
