Happy Friday! How have the first two days of December been treating you?
After a break from last Friday, it’s nice to be back with a Weekly Six. As always, if you’ve read anything this week you want to share, please do so in the comments! Here are my faves from the past week:
1) Aren’t these Not Knot pillows fun? They’d make a great gift this season!
2) Have you sent out your holiday cards yet? It’s still a bit early, I know but these sparkly letterpress cards are one of my favorites.
3) I might have to order myself some of these delicious-looking chocolates that Oh Joy! was snacking on this week.
4) If you have a second, definitely check out this project called The States, in which the designer fills the outline of each state with something different. I’ll admit, some states were difficult for me to figure out!
5) I need one of these in my office. Gotta look into this immediately!
6) How awesome is this lamp? It’s made from one single sheet of paper folded into a dimensional design.

In preparation for my holiday cards, (and since this is the first holiday season that my boyfriend are living together and our addresses are no longer the same as our parents!) I wanted something fun, yet sophisticated. However, since we both have different last names, all of those labels that say “The Smith Family” or “John and Mary Smith” just wouldn’t work for us. (I told him that better change by the next holiday season, don’t you worry!)
Just when I thought I’d have to hand-write our address on my cards, I found these House Number return address labels by Sara Luke Creative / Less Ordinary Designs on Etsy.
Aren’t they perfect? (Especially for a non-married couple!!) Simple, but fabulous. And available in any color you want. I ordered them around 10 pm last night and there was a proof in my inbox at 7:50 this morning. I can’t wait to see how they look in person!
How about you? Have you ordered new labels from your holiday cards?

It’s December 1st and many people out there have already had their tree and other holiday decor up since last week. Are you one of them?
I’m not! I wanted to wait until December 1st this year, just to enjoy that last bit of fall lingering in my house. But now I’m ready to get started and I may even pull in some inspiration from these six different Christmas trees. And since many don’t celebrate Christmas, we’ll have something for Hanukkah tomorrow!
If you do celebrate Christmas, have you decorated your tree yet? Does it look like any above?

I’m thinking of investing in some big, beautiful wine glasses. There’s something about a huge wine glass that makes drinking wine so much more enjoyable. Throw in some color or a unique design and it doesn’t matter if its wine or water being poured into that glass.
Plus, ’tis the season for entertaining. And one of these gorgeous glasses would look way better on my kitchen table every once in a while instead of my boring IKEA glasses over and over again. Don’t you agree?

This is a seriously beautiful ornament. Well, at least I think its seriously beautiful. Would you agree?
My only gripe is that it’s $28.00. For one ornament. Now, I don’t think that $28.00 is crazy, crazy expensive for one ornament that I really, really love, but I do wonder – how much I really, really love it. $28 much of love?
Here’s what I’m thinking: You can buy 50 colorful and sparkly ornaments for $15.00 at Target. Granted, each one individually is not as pretty as the ornament from Anthropologie. But together they can be quite lovely. So, is it wrong to buy one single ornament for $28.00? Especially when you only use it for 3-4 weeks out of the year….
My real question here is: what kind of holiday decor shopper are you? We talk a whole lot about shopping for gifts – but what about decor?
Do you splurge on holiday decor or do you stick to a budget and decorate as inexpensively as possible? Or would you buy the case of 50 for $15 and then splurge on the $28 Anthro ornament just because you can’t get it out of your head?!

Hello everyone – hope that you had a wonderful Thanksgiving holiday!
As my parents have been living in London for the past four years, we have spent three out of those four years celebrating Thanksgiving there, this year being the third. Soon after landing on Wednesday morning, we headed to Harrod’s to get some fun decor for our table, which you see above. (Have you ever been to Harrod’s? It just may be the best place on this Earth.)
And how about those Chilewich placemats? Just enough sparkle for a holiday table, yet versatile enough for everyday use. Plus, we found the perfect red and gold napkin rings to pull the red chairs into the design. This was the first time we’ve ever attempted a decorated table and we think it came out quite fabulous – would you agree?!
Also, since they’re also discussing what it’s like to have a Thanksgiving in London over at Apartment Therapy and about the pin feathers the British leave in their turkeys – I thought I’d share a photo of our own turkey:

If you look closely, you can see little black specks which are indeed the pin feathers. The first year we celebrated in London, the turkey was full of those little things and my mom told us all that it was rosemary! She later told us all what they really are and thankfully we’re able to eat around it. Regardless of the feathers, their turkey is arguably better than it is here in the States.
Where did you spend Thanksgiving this year? What did your table look like?

Although today’s Etsy Roundup looks like it’s one for the ladies, it works doubly as a gift guide for the guys out there in search of the perfect gift for the women in their lives.
The way I see it is that you can never have too many clutches in your wardrobe. I love clutches so much that I keep one in my purse at all times in case of emergencies. And by emergency I mean when I don’t feel like lugging my purse around. The best part about clutches is that the more you have, the more you can coordinate. Plus, most clutches are quite affordable so you won’t feel guilty about having too many!
Do you love clutches? How many do you own?

Can you imagine having this coffee table in your living room? It would instantly be the talk of any party, or even when someone stopped by for a quick visit.
Designed by Axel Yberg of Akke Functional Art, this structural modern coffee table, named the Reverse Dowry, was made as a gift for his mother-in-law. Reverse Dowry is made from oiled recycled ipe wood, stainless cable, aluminum and glass for the top. I think Akke Functional Art couldn’t be a more perfect name – because that’s exactly what it this table is – functional art!
In addition to the Reverse Dowry, Axel Yberg has recently added 13 new pieces to his website, which are even more awesome than this coffee table – if that was even possible!
Head over to his website to check them out – you won’t be disappointed!
