We have a clue about Furniture

Going off of yesterday’s post, I created a post using one of the color schemes: purple, peacock blue and fuchsia.

It’s definitely a bold scheme, and I wouldn’t necessarily decorate a room with these exact items, but I like it as a way to get a feel for how the colors flow together. I’m especially loving that chevron rug – it would look great under that fuchsia chair!

Bodum’s new BISTRO Pour Over Coffee Machine is an electric drip machine that’s gotten an overhaul. It’s such an obvious idea, we can’t believe they didn’t think of it sooner. The coffee drips into an insulated thermos instead of a plain old glass pot, so coffee will actually stay hot. The inner workings have improved too. Water heats up close to a boil, and is carried to the coffee grounds via an insulated pipe.

Since both of us are students with limited income, we decided IKEA was the place to find a suitable changing table. Something about different color palettes can be so inspiring. Maybe it’s all of the different possibilities, or perhaps it’s the search for finding pieces in those colors once you choose a palette. The Agate rug shown above was featured on Design Milk in 2010, but I came across it recently on Pinterest. (Where else?!)

With all of the different colors, I thought it’d be a fun place to start with a color palette. So I pulled a few colors from there, and then narrowed them down:

Personally, I’d try to keep all of the colors together if I could! I think they would be striking in a bedroom.

London-based textile designer Lindsey Lang launched her new home collection of printed textiles and ceramic designs at HOME , the new housewares and interiors accessories show in London. The line is full of fun colors and modern graphic shapes on cushions, ceramic tiles, cement tiles for both the wall and floor, tea cozies, hot handles, oven mitts and tea towels.
