Weld Vases by Phil Cuttance

London-based designer Phil Cuttance created a series of handmade black and white vases from discarded plastic, an extension of his Weld Furniture collection from 2009. Each vase is handcrafted and individually numbered and made using hot air welding that connects each plastic shape together. The ABS plastic that is used comes from discarded off-cut pieces from a local London fabricator

Color Combo: Grey + Red

Entry contemporary entry

contemporary entry design by boston interior designer Rachel Reider Interiors

I’m not always a huge fan of red in interior design, but it seems to be growing on me. Grey, however, is one of my favorites, so that might have something to do with my fondness for today’s color combo of grey and red.

Grey and red together form a modern color scheme, and have an even greater effect when some crisp white is thrown in there. (Especially in the last image – it’s my fave!)

What do you think of a grey and red color combination?

Varde counter drawer hacked by kitchen sink

Materials: varde counter, boholmen kitchen sink, atlant strainer, edsvik kitchen faucet Description: When we were designing our first kitchen, I wanted to avoid chipboard as much as possible and have something sturdy.
