The Slice Sofa is the greatest thing since sliced bread.
Consisting of an outer shell and a soft inner cushion, the general design of the Slice Sofa is intended to imitate the protective mechanism seen in animals such as the armadillo or turtle. As in the animals’ build, the outer shell of the sofa provides comfort and the inner cushion provides comfort.

The Slice is upholstered in fabric, and can be custom made in the customer’s own materials. Cushion covers are removable for easy cleaning. Ideal for small spaces, the Slice has four modules and a lightweight frame.
Named for the slices made in the triangular cushions, the Slice Sofa is designed and manufactured by Boneli, a modern furniture company in the United Kingdom.

Materials: Expedit Description: The pictures are of our house, where we were searching for a long time to find a celling lamp to fit the style and size of the main living room. Finally we used the EXPEDIT shelf! I put some wires and bulb sockets inside, and then screwed the shelf directly to the ceiling (Oufff! Not easy, you need 2-3 people for that).

Finally we used the EXPEDIT shelf! I put some wires and bulb sockets inside, and then screwed the shelf directly to the ceiling (Oufff! Not easy, you need 2-3 people for that). Then using small shelf supports left over from another furniture, I installed milk coloured plastics to hide electric installation and make the light softer.

Initiated by N°111 with François Bauchet and Eric Jourdan , the Quatrième Mur was a satellite exhibition during the St Etienne Design Biennial 2010. Located in a former cinema, three ex-Saint Etienne students invited two of their ex-lecturers for a collective exhibition of everyday objects. The arrangement of these objects in a scenic, stage-like way invited the viewers to think differently about the relationships between these objects and themselves. From N°111: The fourth wall evokes an intellectual wall separating the actor on the stage and the spectator in the room. The installation of the objects on a stage puts distance between them and the spectator

Joost van Bleiswijk and Kiki van Eijk present new work at VIVID Gallery in Rotterdam now through January 5, 2011. The works of Joost van Bleiswijk and Kiki van Eik in this exhibition reinforce each other in a positive way through juxtaposition — the tough strength of Joost’s heavy steel plates against the fragility of Kiki’s airy and less systematic structures give an additional tension to both artifacts. For this exhibition Van Bleiswijk worked only with thick steel plates and a blowtorch to create the “no screw no glue rough” edition. He made sculptures that could be art pieces but also used as tables or cupboards.
