I met architect and designer Sisto Tallini at the BoConcept Trend Talk with Morten Georgsen . He created this plywood chair when he was in graduate school at the University of Pennsylvania. The chair is made from three sheets of ordinary stock plywood purchased from The Home Depot , laminated together and milled on a CNC milling machine.

As mangas means “sleeves” in Spanish, you can see the influence for the name within the design.
Designed by Patricia Urquiola, Mangas is a collection of rugs offered in many sizes, shapes and colors. Shown above is the Mangas Mini collection, with large and standard options also available. A collection of natural colors is offered as well.
Another collection of Mangas designed by Urquiola is Mangas Pouff. The Mangas Pouff is a series of Mangas rugs stuffed with foam rubber. Don’t they look comfy?
All rugs and pouffs within the Mangas collection are made from 100% virgin wool.

The Mountain Table looks like a fairly standard dining table with a cherry finish. Then all of a sudden you eye hits a piece of stone popping out in the middle of the table…
Designed by Peter Pierobon, it looks as if the table was created in the way of a mountain and the slate used within the center portrays the mountain showing through. What’s even more interesting about this table is that the slate within provides support as the base of the table.
Peter Pierobon is based out of Vancouver, where he focuses on furniture design as well as sculpture. He has many beautiful tables, light fixtures and sculptures for viewing on his website – http://www.peterpierobon.com.
