Studio Toer , a creative firm based in The Netherlands, recently designed the Spring LED Lamp . The simple fixture features a purple-ish felt shade attached to two flexible, super skinny steel rods. The light is meant to be directional and easily moves around by moving the rods up and down

In January 2010 Bjørn Jørund Blikstad’s prototype for a modular storage system graced the cover of Wallpaper* magazine and then the pages of Design Milk . Two agonizing years later at February 2012′s Stockholm Furniture Fair , he finally launched Imeüble .

I love the smartly designed furniture from the Paris-based Kann Design . They work with a mix of designers to create a solid collection of mid-century inspired classics that would work in any style home, especially their Recycled Collection . Designed by the Italian duo Nicola Santini and Pier Paolo Taddei of Avatar Architettura , who happen to specialize in eco-friendly design, these pieces feature a myriad of recycled woods that give them unique character. The varied sizes of the wooden rectangles create a striking pattern, making each design a (functioning) work of art. R40 Sideboard (also pictured above) has ridges on top that can easily contain some of your books or knick knacks.

From South Korean designer Jiwoong Jung comes two lighting fixtures, GYOGAM and ZIGZAG . Taking inspiration from power line towers and speakers, the GYOGAM floor lamp resembles the tower structures you see everywhere. The lamp is lit on both sides through the two dome-like fixtures. I definitely get the speaker vibe from it and almost expect music to come pouring out, but I love the diffused glow of the light that it creates. I don’t think I’d recommend sticking your face in the fixture when the light is turned on! The ZIGZAG is the ceiling-mounted version of the GYOGAM .

Materials: Billys in 2 sizes, Kusiner storage baskets, Tjusig rack, Tajma wall clock Description: Since we had used all Ikea furniture in our older son's room and we thought that perhaps someday our 2 boys might share a room, we wanted to continue on with using matching Ikea furniture so it could all be combined for a nice look. I also couldn't bear to waste money on a changing table we would only use for a short time. I started designing and came up with our Ikea Billy changing station.
