Dutch designer Reinier de Jong is an architect, interior designer, furniture designer, and online editor/blogger (a Renaissance man) based in Rotterdam, Netherlands. He describes his aesthetic as “simple but strong” and “bold but refined.” He clearly put careful thought into his Friday Five picks, treating us to a sampler covering a variety of mediums, plus his own must-have tools. 1

The American Standards Lamp by Peter Bristol is a bit of a commentary on some of our current American building techniques. The standard construction materials and methods used in the US are realized in this lamp. “From the 2×4 wall studs to the cheap light switches, it seems that when building a wall, location is really the only decision left to make.

Materials: Ikea Hemnes buffet, 4 Branas, a wood bottle holders to assemble Description: My husband love wine, but we don’t have any bottle holders in our kitchen, so we decide to transform our Hemnes buffet. 1- We buy a cheap wood bottle holders and I paint the parts of the furniture as white as the Ikea buffet 2- I was lucky to find the exact dimension of the buffet, instead you can easly cut the wood. 3- Then I put the back and the front parts of the wood bottle holders into the Hemnes buffet…
