Happy rainy Friday! Well, at least it’s a rainy Friday here in NJ – how is it by you? Hopefully the weather will get the rain out of its system today and give us a nice sunny weekend ahead.
And if it doesn’t, we’ll have plenty of fun stuff to view online, including everything from this week’s Weekly Six:
1 – Craving a hearty pasta dish, such as this Puttanesca recipe.
2 – Picking out wedding centerpieces can be a bit stressful, but I’m like something different like this look here.
3 – Loving the decor of the W in Barcelona.
4 – A cool metallic DIY.
5 – Awesome modern lights.
6 – A fun article on home organization and the Berenstain Bears – remember them?
What fun reads did you find this week?

Giovanni Talocci has designed a line of freestanding bioethanol fireplaces and planters for the Italian manufacturer Falper . The best part about these minimalist designs is that they are portable. Instead of everyone gathering around a built-in fireplace, the fire can be moved to wherever the people are – each piece comes with a carrying handle.

I came across this photo the other night and keep going back to it. I can’t decide whether I love the curtain displayed over the bed or not. I like that it becomes the focal point of the room and is a bit of a surprise – but I think I would remove the mirror.
Also, the rest of the bedroom is done in a more modern design, so I’m not sure the curtain fits in with the flow. But again like I said – I keep pulling this image up to study it and determine what it is, so I figured I’d bring it here.
So – what do you think of this modern bedroom with the curtain over the bed? Do you love this look?

From storage pieces to tables, Keir Townsend has created a series of art-meets-furniture for Italian manufacturer Laurameroni . Reminiscent of art sculptures of Donald Judd, these metallic furnishings play with light and trick the eye. The process of making the pieces involves applying a patinated surface to metal strips and then folding them onto the furniture.

A modern and comfortable chair that folds up flat (less than 3/4″ thick!) in a matter of seconds? That’s crazy talk! The Folditure Leaf Chair , designed by architect Alexander Gendell, is perfect for small dwellers or people who want to have extra seating on hand. The folding chair is the ultimate in space saving in that it is super slim in design (when flat) and hangs up in a closet with its convenient hook. You hang it up like you would a coat hanger and the width of four chairs hanging is less than that of a winter coat! Cool, right? It’s made from a durable aluminum composite panel frame and stainless steel hinges and rivets.

I need one of these Woven Desks. Immediately! Because not only is it modern and stylish, it could perhaps help me concentrate a little bit better. So I could stay more focused on important things and less focused on the snacks in the kitchen!
Anyway, the Woven Desk is designed by Bram Vanderbeke. His website describes the Woven Desk as “A desk where it is possible to work very personally/privately, but without losing contact with everything around the working space.”
I would love to have a private little work nook of my own like this, wouldn’t you?
